Hot! Hot! Hot!... NASCAR is the
fastest growing spectator sport in the world. In racing as in business-- timing and teamwork are
everything.

Driven
to Perform:
The Richard Petty Driving Experience (RPDE)
and
The Pit Crew Challenge
Developed by Innolect Inc.
NASCAR-Based
Innolect offers two NASCAR-way Driven to Perform challenging and fun-filled
opportunities to support team building in organizations:
?
The
Richard Petty Driving Experience (RPDE); and,
?
The Pit Crew Challenge
These two unique,
live, on-site programs serve as platforms for placing people in unfamiliar terrain where
uncertainty has to be managed and individual responses contribute to the success of the
whole team. These expectations are not so different from real world demands for speed,
immediacy, technical know how, accuracy, and results.
Its fun,
its fast, its immediate. Thats
NASCAR. Team members are trained to do their
jobs with the same precision and expectations for excellence as professional athletes. They focus on learning to apply skills where
spilt-second timing and doing one function extremely well as part of the whole team is
what is required.
The fact that most
people have never driven a race car or been in the speedway pit to service a race
carcreates a level playing field of uncertainty.
People scope out a situation quickly, make decisions about what is required, train
up, get support for what they are learning, and give their expert best.
Driven to Perform experiences guide team members
to find their zone of optimal performance
through a practice called Challenge by Choice. Individuals explore and take on the
appropriate amount of risk according to their own capacity.
Team members support one another to find the right balance and then move
cohesively as a team to gain the ground they need. This
way everyone is stretching in their zone of
optimal performance and contributing to the success of the team.
Facilitators guide
participants to use both The Richard Petty Driving
Experience and The Pit Crew Challenge to
make connections to actual challenges they are facing on the job. Programs are designed to link all lessons learned
on the track to action learning on the job.
Using the NASCAR
racing experience helps companies uncover their hidden
potential. By challenging individuals and
teams to perform in new and different ways in an exciting and challenging setting, people
learn to accelerate how they function on a team.
Participants have a
hands-on opportunity to see what it takes to rank among the top talent in
actually driving a racecar when they either ride along with a driver or drive their own
car. Learning to make all the quick moves in
what feels like a nanosecond in the pit also offers participants the thrill of being part of something bigger than
oneself.
These NASCAR team
building experiences will stimulate teams and offer them not only a fresh way to frame the
challenges they face at workbut, a whole new way to frame teamwork and their own
accelerated performance.
