TearCare System

A new treatment focusing on Dry Eyes now available to our patients focusing on the eyelid glands that often times is clogged up with oils and debris, called Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD).  With the clogged up glands, our own natural tears can't hydrate our eyes well, leading to dry eyes symptoms.  Often times that's why recommend warm compresses at home to help clear these glands, but sometimes if we're not diligent enough or don't have time for it, we can now hit the lids hard with treatments such as TearCare to combat it and add another layer against Dry Eyes.  Check out the below video of TearCare Program works.

Myopic Management Treatment with Misight Contacts

Our patients have often ask us what we can do for our kids as the vision changes, and we're proud to start our Myopic Management Treatment Program.  FDA approved and for myopic (nearsighted) children with less than 1.00 diopter astigmatism.  As we grow in the program we will expand our services.   Unlike Ortho K, these lenses are worn during day to help control the eyeball length, hence controlling the rate of increase in myopia.  Come in and ask during the annual exam if this treatment is for your children.  In the meantime watch the below video from Sarah Michelle Gellar of Buffy the Vampire fame and a testimonial from a family.  Video made by Coopervision.  Introducing Misight Lenses.

We are proud to introduce one of the fashion setter in innovations, TOM FORD to our lineup at CORVISION OPTOMETRY.  Some models do come in alternative fits, which helps fit the flatter nosebridges, for both men and women.  Here's a little video to introduce what TOM FORD is like.  With this new video, Tom Ford has now introduced a collection of Blue Blocking Collection that you can get without prescription in this digital world.  The first Luxury Eyewear to put blue blocking in their forefront to help with digital eyestrain.

Nerdwax

Innovations can come from anywhere and in all forms.  With this in mind we are proud to introduce a new product that we have at the office, called Nerdwax!  What is nerdwax??  Nerdwax was developed by it's founder Don to help those that have picked a good fitted pair of glasses that still slides down the nose because of a hot sweaty day, or oily skin, etc.  Those that don't want to make additional physical changes to the glasses to make the glasses fit better can test these out at our office.  Physical changes may include adding rubber ear piece loops, adding custom nosepads, etc.  Here is the founder talking about how to apply the nerdwax.  If you want to see a video on how well it works in more extremity click on "trampoline demonstration" to see Don in jumping action.  Do not try the trampoline demonstration at home as this was done by a professional.  Nerdwax is made of cosemetic grade all-natural certified organic ingredients (Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Gum Rosin, Peppermint Oil).  Included next to Don's video below is a review on Nerdwax by actress Victoria Swilley of Disney Fame.

​Maui Jim Ophthalmic Glasses-HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED!!

For the first time ever, Maui Jim has decided to add a new chapter in their glasses line.  Aside from their renown sunglasses and optics, they have ventured into producing clear glasses to the public, infusing the glasses with their signature Maui Jim flair.  We are proud to be part of their initial launch in good ol' Fremont, Ca.  Our inventory has finally arrived, so check out our facebook business page or Instagram for pictures of the frames.  Here's an official Maui Jim video below introducing the new frame venture.  Click below to learn more!!

WILEY X YOUTH FORCE

In honor of sports safety month for the kids in August, we decided to bring into the office stylish sports protective eyewear that can double as glasses with removable temple arms that can then snap a wrap turning your glasses into sports goggles for all your kid's active lifestyle.  Sport protection is important, because you never know what could happen.  We thank Wiley X in creating Youth Force which meets ASTM-F803 Sports Protective Eyewear Standards for young athletes.  Here's a video of how they work below.
